Easter Egg Hunts in Seattle: The Hunt is On!
Where to hunt, hop and gather around Seattle this Easter

The Easter holiday, complete with the appearance of a giant bunny, is fast approaching, and public venues throughout Seattle are pulling out all the stops with spring egg hunts for sharp-eyed youngsters. For a weekend full of Easter-related fun, we’ve rounded up an array of egg hunts and other exciting events around town that shall not disappoint.
The first places to look for no-cost egg scouting excitement are your local community centers. The following hunts all take place the morning of Saturday, April 4. All hunts begin at 10 a.m. unless otherwise noted.
- To the Northeast: Children 11 and under.
Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center
MeadowBrook Community Center at Nathan Hale H.S. Track
Laurelhurst Park will host the Laurelhurst Spring Egg Hunt, free with canned-food donation. - To the Northwest:
Ballard Community Center
Bitter Lake Annex
Loyal Heights Community Center
Magnolia Community Center – for children 2-10 years old.
Green Lake Community Center: The Spring Egg Scramble will take place from
10 a.m. (ages 3 and under)
10:30 a.m. (ages 4-7)
11 a.m. (ages 8-10) - In the Central District:
Miller Community Center (ages 5 and under)
Cal Anderson Park (11 and under)
Montlake Community Center (11 and under) - To the Southeast:
Rainier Beach Community Center (ages 2-10)
Jefferson Community Center
Van Asselt Community Center - To the Southwest:
Alki Community Center: spring egg hunt and breakfast at 9:30 a.m.
Delridge Community Center
High Point Community Center
South Park Community Center
From April 3-5: The Seattle Childrens Museum will host spring egg hunts from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. for children ages 1-10. Cost is $3 to $5 plus cost of admission for non-members. Reservations required.

Want to go beyond the everyday egg hunt? Argosy Cruises is offering a special Easter Sunday on Blake Island and Tillicum Village Cruise (shoving off from Pier 59 at 10 a.m. on April 5) to nearby Blake Island ($80 adults, $31 children, ages 3 and under free). In addition to a salmon buffet and Easter egg hunt on the island, passengers will explore historic Tillicum Village and experience traditional Native American dance, art and culture.
Why stop at bunnies and frogs? Head to the Woodland Park Zoo April 4th for its 14thannual Bunny Bounce featuring egg hunts for tykes ages 1-8, crafts and more – all while the zoo’s non-human inhabitants enjoy specially made Easter baskets brimming with treats of their own.
If tramping around in the soggy outdoors is not your cup of tea, on Saturday, April 4 the Rainforest Café in Southcenter Mall is celebrating indoors with an Easter Breakfast and Indoor Egg Hunt, featuring an Easter Bunny appearance, and an appearance by Cha! Cha! the jungle-themed eatery’s amphibian ambassador.
