What’s New at Bite of Seattle This Year

Enjoy bites from restaurants and food vendors, activities and events at this year's famous food fest

 Your foodie countdown is coming to an end: The 2016 Bite of Seattle is finally here!

The famous eating event hits Seattle July 15-17 this year, bringing with it three days of tasting, entertainment and activities in celebration of the Bite’s 35th anniversary.

Here’s what’s new—and notable—to the food festival this year.

New Locale
Offering panoramic views from a landscaped roof, the Fischer Pavilion Rooftop is the new home of the The Alley dining showcase. A $12 ticket includes a multi-course meal featuring bites from six local restaurants. This year, you can gobble up a spread from the likes of Conscious Eatery, Levitate Gastropub, SazeRac and more. The Alley menu changes daily.

New Bites
You can’t spell Seattle without eat, and this year’s lineup is bound to give all foodies an array of rousing eating experiences. In addition to more than sixty restaurants, food trucks, desserts, drinks, and novelty food items, this year’s festival features a new Sunday brunch (11 a.m to 5 p.m.) that includes bites from Honest Biscuits, Uli’s Famous Sausage, Kringle’s Bakery, Dahlia Bakery and more. There are also several new restaurants and food trucks participating: Afghan Delicious, Keli’s Hawaiian Foods, Old Ballard Liquor Co.’s Tumble Swede Scandinavian, Nuflours, Hawaii’s Donuts, Big Island Poke, Stacks Burgers, Bomba Fusion, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Ezell’s and JoeFroyo. (Tip: to maximize your buckand your stomach spaceyou can partake in “Just a Bite” items, small snacks available at each restaurant for $3.75 or less.)

New Attractions
If you’re waiting for your stomach to digest before indulging in another bite, take part in the festival’s non-foodie events, including live music and performances on five different stages, a free movie, shopping and handcraft vendors, and new this year, activities from the Play Nintendo Tour. Inside the Armory, gamers of all ages can try out a new Nintendo 3DS XL gaming system, play games and meet Nintendo characters.

New Sips
Join us as we sponsor the all-new Wine Bar, offering Bite of Seattle guests Washington wines by the glass ($7-8) or flight. Wines include selections from Cavatappi, Gruet Winery, House Wine, Canoe Ridge Winery and Washington Hills Wine. There are also new breweries in the lineup at the Craft Beer & Cider Tasting.

New Benefits
New sponsors for this year’s Bite of Seattle include Wahl’s Mobile Barbershop, Jennie-O’s Tastingwho will display your firsts tastes on a billboard in Time SquareNathan’s Famous Mobile Tour with Coney Island-style games and samples, Hendrick’s Gin with their Curious Cocktail Configurator and drinks and the Xfinity X1 Challenge, where you can hop on a motorcycle powered by Xfinity Internet speeds. Proceeds from Bite of Seattle support Food Lifeline, which recently opened their new Hunger Solutions Center
