(4/29) This “mama conference” for moms only includes a dinner (not cooked by you, Mom) and drinks, life and parenting strategies, self-care tips, shopping and more, all within a nurturing community that stresses mothers are not on their journey alone. Keynote speakers include Rebecca Gallagher of Frugalista Blog (“When SPANX Goes Wrong and Other Mama Lessons”) and CEO and founder of Dry Soda Co. (and single mother of four) Sharelle Klaus on the subject of “How to Make Peace with Motherhood.” Other sessions include roundtables with experts on everything from how to limit your child’s screen time without meltdowns to tips to keep your “relationship sparkling when it’s covered in life-dust.” 3-10 p.m., prices vary. mamacon.net

(4/29) This fourth charity tennis event for the Roger Federer Foundation, the tennis star’s organization whose goal is to enhance “a world where children living in poverty are able to take control of their future and actively shape it,” will take place this Saturday at KeyArena. Facing off against Federer in the singles match is Association of Tennis Professional’s 10-time title winner, John Isner. In the doubles match, Federer and none other than Bill Gates will go head-to-head with Isner and his TBD celebrity partner. Hot tennis stars, one tech guru and some good-spirited competition all for charity?
