Instagram Inspiration: Holiday Lights

Seattle is sprinkled with lights and holiday spirit

‘Tis the season for twinkly lights! One of the main reasons I’m so obsessed with this time of year is the simple addition of stringed lights everywhere. I’m not sure why I love them so deeply; maybe it’s the added ambiance (I’m a sucker for dark spaces with soft lighting) or the simple reminder of a time filled with family, love, giving, and the catchiest music of all time.

I have a theory that if we kept twinkly lights up year-round, people would be significantly happier. They add coziness that combats gloomy weather, and they instantly make the world more romantic.

But then again, maybe I’m being too idealistic. If they were permanent instillations, their magic would be lost. They’d be the holiday equivalent of McDonald’s all-day breakfast.

Either way, I’m grateful for them, and it seems like many Seattle instagrammers are, too. ‘Tis the season!
