Must Travel Through Time
Dino Weekend
(3/11–3/12, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.) Unleash your inner Dr. Alan Grant and dig some fossils at Dino Weekend. At this monstrously popular event, youngsters are invited to get an eyeful of real fossils, uncover some with their own hands in the Dinosaur Dig Pit, dress up like their favorite Jurassic beast and then try to out-roar them. That T. rex discovered last summer might still be around. Prices vary, free to Burke Museum members. Burke Museum; burkemuseum.org

Must Drink Brunch
Bacon, Eggs & Kegs
(3/11–3/12, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.) Enjoy more than 60 ciders and beers, a 30-foot Bloody Mary bar, mimosas, Irish coffee, alcoholic root beer floats and tons of local eats to soak it all up at the second Bacon, Eggs & Kegs event. Play life-size Yahtzee, and sing along with dueling pianos from Keys on Main. Saturday SOLD OUT. Prices vary. CenturyLink Indoor Field Plaza; baconeggsandkegs.com

Must Try Pie
Pi Day Pie-Eating Contest
(3/14, starts at noon) After last year’s berry-filled competitive pie eating contest resulted in some rather grisly-looking images (it was a “bit…much…visually,” a statement reported), the Downtown Seattle Association has pivoted pie principles and this year will partner with Tom Douglas, who’s donating his famous (and more face-friendly) Triple Coconut Cream Pies to the DSA’s second annual event. Ten participants will chow down face-first for bragging rights and a Serious Pie gift card. Free. Occidental Square, downtownseattle.com

Must Go Digital
Seattle Web Fest 2017
(3/11, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.) Web series guru and Emmy award-winner Bernie Su and enduring Seattle star Tom Skerritt are among special guests at this festival that celebrates web-based fiction, non-fiction series and independent television from Seattle and around the world. The Fest will screen over 50 original series, host hours of panels and feature a special screening of Stroller Gangs, a new Seattle-based series from Heyou entertainment and Skerritt himself described as “Sex in the City on baby stroller wheels.” Free. Northwest Film Forum, seattlewebfest.com

Must Geek Out
Geekwire Bash
(3/15, 3-9 p.m.) What better way to find your next boss or startup partner than by crushing them in a foosball tournament? The annual GeekWire Bash is the booziest tech schmooze fest to take place this side of…well, anywhere. Some of the best minds in Seattle’s tech community turn out for pingpong, dodgeball, cornhole, video games and the fulfillment of some serious ambition. Prices vary. CenturyLink Field Event Center; geekwire.com
