Must Get Crafty
Winter Urban Craft Uprising at Seattle Center

(12/5 to 12/6, times vary) Billed as Seattle’s largest indie craft show, the two-day Winter Urban Craft Uprising (there’s another show in the summer) at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall is free (a $1 donation is encouraged) and features more than 150 vendors of handcrafted goods.

Must Go Rogue
A Holiday Version of Town Hall’s Short Stories Live Program

Sunday (12/6, 2 p.m.) Local historian Paul Dorpat, program curator Jean Sherrard and other colorful figures offer offbeat Christmas-themed stories, poems and music in “A Rogue’s Christmas,” a holiday version of Town Hall’s Short Stories Live program.

Must See
Painter Cable Griffith Unveils New Works

(12/3 to 1/16, times vary) Painter Cable Griffith’s landscapes bring an electronic pulse to pastoral scenes, fusing the order of human-built infrastructure with the chaos of the natural world. He describes Sightings, his December exhibition of new works at G. Gibson Gallery, as “conceived in conversation with the history of landscape painting, notions of the sublime and reports of unexplained phenomenon in contemporary society.”

Must Smell
Willy Wonka in Smell-O-Vision

(Through 1/3/2016, times vary) Grab a goody bag as you arrive at The SIFF Cinema Uptown on Queen Anne and enjoy Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory–in Smell-O-Vision. Watch the trippy classic in a whole new way, with fragrant and tasty treats delivered on cue to heighten the experience.

Must Go East
The Big Chanukah Show on Mercer Island

Monday (12/7, 7 to 9 p.m.) The Shalom Klezmer Band headlines this free musical variety show. Seattle Rabbi James Mirel will lead the lighting of the candles.
