What was that in the sky? Your eyes didn’t deceive you. That was, in fact, a Boeing 787 painted in the likeness of R2-D2. According to GeekWire, the R2-D2 jet landed yesterday at Seattle Tacoma International Airport for the first time. The “Dreamliner” is owned by Japanese airline All Nippon’s Airways, and is decorated to resemble the beloved Star Wars robot in honor of the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The jet returned to Tokyo yesterday afternoon after a short stay, but keep your eyes towards the skies, as GeekWire reports, it will be returning December 3, 5 and 7. Visitors to the Westlake Center Plaza will find a little extra holiday cheer on December 7. Ebay’s Wish Bigger Holiday Airstream, open between the hours of 12:00 and 7:00 p.m., will be offering exclusive deals to local holiday shoppers on popular items such as headphones, sunglasses, watches and more. This traveling market place will be touring the country coast-to-coast, stopping in cities such as San Francisco, Austin, Atlanta and New York, during the holiday season.

Bell Street Park is dressing up for the holidays. For the second straight year, large, 5-foot-tall snowflakes will decorate the area throughout the holiday season. These festive adornments, supplied by the Metropolitan Improvement District, will be installed today and will stretch from First to Fifth avenues on Bell Street. Paired with charming holiday lights, the snowflakes will create a cheerful ambiance for both Seattle residents and visitors to enjoy.
