Fashion Play
At 6-foot-2, Crystal Langhorne knows a thing or two about how to dress for being tall. Known for her chic modern and casual style, the Seattle Storm forward—kicking off her fourth season with the team this year—created her blog, Crystal’s Closet, as a resource for others. “I wanted [tall] people to know that they do have options out there.” Many of her blog posts are conversations with other WNBA athletes, who share their off-court style and perspectives on dressing a taller frame.

Sweats be Gone
The New Jersey native, who wowed fans on the court of her alma mater, the University of Maryland, says her fashion passion started when it does for many young women—in high school. Her interest in clothes continued in college, where she was often the only one not in sweatpants. “You get tired of wearing sweats all the time,” she jokes.

All about Footwear
Because she wears a size 13.5 shoe, Langhorne’s biggest challenge is finding fashionable footwear. “I’m constantly looking.” Nordstrom (downtown, 500 Pine St.) and Nordstrom Rack (downtown, 400 Pine St.)—with stores not far from her Seattle home base in Belltown—are two places she can find stylish shoes in her size in-store. Given her travel schedule and size challenges, she does most of her shopping online. She favors retailers with a good return policy, like ASOS, an important consideration when most clothes aren’t made to fit you.

Off-Court Uniform
“I love blazers, a good boyfriend jean or a good jumpsuit—and anything high-waisted,” says Langhorne. For an off-court workout, she sports clothing she calls “cutewear.” Think colorful sports bras and racer tanks with fitted shorts.

Even just one purchase — a computer, for instance — can recoup a basic membership fee. Rumors have been swirling for years that the company would raise its…
