The entire north side of the Tukwila shopping center has established a new dining district. Dubbed “Restaurant Row,” the emerging culinary hub is introducing several new concepts, beginning with Mr. Dim sum this winter. Gen Korean and another new concept will open later next year.

Each restaurant will feature both indoor and outdoor dining and will include walking paths and lighting accents.

“(The) restaurant district is completely fresh and flavorful for the community,” says General Manager Arta Barhamast. “a focus on new food and beverage concepts are essential to our continued growth.”

Westfield operators also say overall sales at the longtime shopping center have increased 10% the past year, and food, beverage and entertainment sales are all up by double digits. Foot traffic is also up 11% the past year, and has risen 3% since the pandemic.

The popular two-story mall has about 250 stores, including an IMAX theater. It was known simply as “Southcenter” until 2002, when Westfield Group purchased it. The mall was last renovated in 2012.

Westfield Southcenter is the largest shopping center in Washington state.
