The Seattle International Film Festival Returns

Tacocat, Chastity Belt and Cloud Nothings Play the Neptune
(5/14, 8 p.m.) Hear two of Seattle’s best up-and-coming bands do what they do best—rock the house—at this Little Big Show benefitting Teentix. Tacocat and Chastity Belt bring their riot-grrl-tinged music to the stage, along with Cleveland-based indie band Cloud Nothings. All ages, all tickets $15.

Pilobolus at Meany Hall
(5/14 to 5/16, times vary) Able to shape-shift, Wonder Twin style (“Form of: an automobile!”), this bendy dance company boasts pop renown, thanks to collaborations such as the music video for OK Go’s “All Is Not Lost.” This marks the eighth time Pilobolus has performed at Meany Hall, and for good reason: It’s eminently watchable.

Artist Debora Moore at the NW African American Museum
(5/16 to 11/8, times vary) Longtime local glass artist Debora Moore is known for her alluring manipulation of glass, creating seductive orchids, mossy logs and sticks of bamboo. Glass Orchidarium presents a lush forest of her work.

Bravo Totally ’80s Party at The Studios
Thursday (5/21, 7 to 11 p.m.) Bravo, Seattle Opera’s young patrons’ group, is closing out the 2014/2015 opera season with a nod to one of the raddest decades ever. Expect dancing to Madonna, a candy bar loaded with Pop Rocks, Sprees and other ’80s gems, drinks, and a live performance from soprano Marcy Stonikas, who will sing songs from the 1780s and 1880s.
