Who Wants to Play Some Footgolf?
Get out and give this soccer/golf combination a try

There’s an interesting new sport catching on in the Northwest called footgolf.
One part soccer and one part golf, the game is played on an 18-hole course and the objective is to a kick soccer ball into 21-inch hole, hopefully under par.
The holes are shortened (so the pars are around 4 or 5, not 10 or 15). And the game is played with regulation #5 soccer balls which are typically available to rent at the course.
The entire game takes about 90 minutes to complete, so make sure you dedicate a full afternoon to it. And take it from someone who has tried it—you’re going to need good shoes. (Just no cleats, they don’t want footgolfers tearing up the green).
Footgolf is played in more than 30 countries all with different rules and varying levels of difficulty, and now there are now courses in Seattle, Tukwila, Tacoma, and even on the Eastside. Everyone is getting into it: the game is perfect for families and first dates alike. The American Footgolf League offers a comprehensive rulebook, and an introductory video for those just getting started.
Just how hard is it to kick a ball into a hole in the ground? Don’t get too ahead of yourself. It can actually be quite tricky. “Putting” is often the thing that can make or break you.
