Ditch the PB&J and feast on one or more of these delicious Seattle bites instead

Were you one of those kids who packed the same turkey-sandwich-and-a-bag-of-chips combo for lunch every single day of the week? I was, and now, at a more advanced age, I still adhere to that practice. Almost every time I eat out on my lunch break, I go to one of the same two places. (I won’t name any names, but one serves soup and the other serves sushi.) And you know what? I think my taste buds are finally reaching their limit. One more spoonful of lobster bisque and I may never be able to eat soup again.

So this week, I tracked down some restaurants in different parts of the city that could, if you share my problem, help break your boring lunch routine and rouse your listless appetite. We’ve got Kau Kau in the International District, Meat and Bread and Big Mario’s in Capitol Hill, Mr. D’s Greek Delicacies in the Pike Place Market, and Musashi’s in Wallingford.

Just look at these delectable photos (and follow the food-savvy Instagrammers who took them). There’s no way I’m consuming any mediocre California Rolls this week. I’ll take a cone filled with a lamb gyro, please.
