That location closed last spring, and the couple opened a new store—just up the street—called A to Z (Union Bay, 814 46th St.; 206.522.7501; a href=”http://www.atoztees.com” target=”_blank”atoztees.com/a), after the casual clothing line of the same name they launched seven years ago. (Never fear, the new store has a backroom filled with sale items and great deals from Alhambra.) “The name is our philosophy,” Shakir says. “It’s clothing that goes from day to night, Monday to Sunday—from work to dinner out to relaxing at home.” All A to Z clothing is made from 100 percent Turkish cotton that is soft, durable and travels well. “It’s clean, simple clothing, but with a twist,” says manager Michelle Lateste, who, along with Serpil, designs the line. “We designed the collection with our Seattle customers in mind,” Lateste adds. “They wanted one-stop shopping and timeless pieces.” Mission accomplished. Also available at Alhambra (2920 NE Blakeley St.; a href=”http://www.alhambrastyle.com” target=”_blank”alhambrastyle.com/a), as well as in stores nationwide./p
