Football season is back and it kicks off right in our backyard with our beloved Seahawks playing the Greenbay Packers at CenturyLink Field. Let’s take a look back: Were we, the fans, the reason that the Seahawks won the Super Bowl? Probably not the only reason, but we sure did help. (We do have a giant flag that is raised just for us during pregame ceremonies at every home game.) Seahawks pride is in a league of its own and has put other teams’ fans to shame. Seattle football devotees, we’re back in the game this Thursday and we have some big football cleats to fill from last year’s ‘Hawks love. Below, we’ve lined up half a dozen ways to show your Seahawks enthusiasm and live up to last year’s in-fanity.

1. Dress in Seahawk chic – Seattle-based clothing company Tommy Bahama teamed up with the Seattle Seahawks to bring you some stylish outerwear for fall. These look warm and cozy enough to wear all season long.

2. Get a Seahawks Fanicure – Local nail salons and spas such as Gene Juarez and Wink in Bellevue are offering 12th fan manicures. Wink says, if you can dream the Seahawks-related design, they can do it. Gene Juarez also offers blue and green hair chalking and inspired eye-makeup. Get beautified ladies (or gents)!

3. Get the blood flowing with the Seahawks 5k Kickoff Run – This is your chance to actually be on the sidelines and do something for the community at the same time. The run starts at 7:30 a.m. on 9/1 and starts outside CenturyLink on Occidental Avenue, winds down First Avenue South, then finishes on the sidelines at CenturyLink Field. Bring the kiddos for the half-mile “Play 60” run at 11 a.m. The run benefits many charitable organizations supported by the Seahawks including Boys and Girls Clubs of Washington State, Camp Fire Snohomish County, Girl Scouts of Western Washington, Treehouse and YMCA of Greater Seattle. You might have to start running now because if you haven’t registered already, online registration ends soon, but you can still register this weekend at the Pro Shop at CenturyLink Field.  A rewarding way to end your long weekend if you ask me.

4. Need a post-run snack? – Beast Corn is back at Kukuruza. And this time, it’s flavored with real lime and blueberry. De-lish. Is your tongue not blue enough? Grab some 12th Man Cupcakes from Cupcake Royale and that’ll do the trick. Want a Seahawks-inspired recipe to try for your tailgate party? Our favorite Queen-Anne based entertainment expert, Heather Christo always has something to offer. Try these moist and delicious brownies that she made for her Super Bowl party last year; she claims the recipe is super…ahem…easy too.

5. Get your game on at NFL Gameday Village in Pioneer Square, a free, two-day, open-to-the-fans event. The event includes an autograph stage featuring legendary NFL players, a Youth Zone, “Play 60” activities for kids (see #3 above), and more. Join your fellow ‘Hawks fans at the Village from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Wednesday 9/3 and 10 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. on Thursday 9/4. Don’t forget to get decked out in all things Seahawks…like this guy.

6. Serenade the Seahawks with the Stars – Even if you can’t go to the big game on Thursday, don’t miss live performances by Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande and Soundgarden in the North Lot at CenturyLink Field before the game. Gates open at 2:30. Tickets still available here, but hurry.
