After breaking his foot for the second time, Pacific Northwest Ballet dancer Jordan Pacitti hung up his pointe shoes in 2010 to follow a different dream. Inspired by his love of fragrances—and with help from PNB’s Second Stage program, which financially assists dancers in pursuing new careers—he earned his aesthetician license from Gary Manuel Aveda Institute on Capitol Hill, and started Jordan Samuel Skin with an initial focus on perfumes. This fall has been a big one for Pacitti: In September, he released an updated line of skin care products made with natural ingredients. His Water You Waiting For? face and body mist ($28) features rose and jasmine hydrosols to hydrate skin. The Dream Oil face and body oil ($50) moisturizes with camellia and argan oils. In October, Pacitti launched a new studio in Belltown (3131 Western Ave., Suite 420; 206.240.3249; jordansamuelskin.com), where clients can experience customized 75-minute facials ($100) from the dancer himself, using a variety of techniques, including LED light therapy, lymphatic neck massage, microdermabrasion and, of course, products from the skin care line. All of which is worthy of an encore performance.
