After almost seven years, Phinney Ridge’s Hip Zephyr is moving to Mercer Island (2727 78th Ave. SE) this June. The tiny 350 square-foot shop, which carries a nice selection of denim, and other casual wear, including many brands not found elsewhere in town, is moving to a 1,200 square-foot space recently vacated by What to Wear, an 11 year-old boutique also known for their selection of denim, and other casual wear. Hip Zephyr is not only gaining square footage, but also another dressing room and a dedicated parking lot, things that their Phinney location was lamentably lacking in.

The last day of the Phinney store is June 15, with the new store opening on June 18. And in case you need it, Hennie McPennie, C Michelle Interiors and Tatters are also excellent reasons to discover Mercer Island.
