WHY WE LOVE THE LOOK:
Former pro snowboarder turned musician and producer Mike Marsidi has one-upped Grease’s Danny Zuko, managing to walk the style line between sports jock and rocker T-bird with ease (and without the tragic gray sweatpants). While oozing 1950s cool in fitted leather jackets and high-top sneakers, he also blends in slim-cut skater jeans, flat-billed baseball caps and vintage sports jerseys with classic cardigans from his dad’s closet.

“On a style scale with Connie Chung and Barbara Walters on one end, and Forever 21 and Wet Seal on the other, I land squarely in the middle at a sporty Mister Rogers,” he says. “But I rock that Mister Rogers hard, man.”

Mardisi can often be seen rocking his slick pompadour hairdo on stage with his electronic synth-pop band Sports (wearecalledsports.com). Watch one of their music videos here:

THE ENSEMBLE:
Denim aged-washed button-up shirt, AllSaints Spitalfields; white cable-knit button-up cardigan sweater with red stripe detail, vintage Banana Republic; rounded collar zip-up leather jacket, also by AllSaints Spitalfields; dark-wash skinny jeans, Zara; tan leather high-top-style sneakers, Tretorn; hair by Vidal Sassoon.

[addtoany]I love shopping at Costco. Sure, our household doesn’t always need 18 tubes of toothpaste at once, but that’s a small price to pay for the savings. Even just one purchase — a computer, for instance — can recoup a basic membership fee. Rumors have been swirling for years that the company would raise its…
