If your lifestyle necessitates a bag worthy of carrying puzzles, books and snacks for your brood while containing your entire office on the go (files, laptop, iPad, etc.), look no farther than the City Tote by Push Pull Cambodia, a gorgeous, sturdy cross-body messenger bag.

The brainchild of Kasala furniture owner Daniel Flickinger, Push Pull is the result of a fair-trade relationship he built with Khmer artisans in the Takeo Province of Cambodia.

Flickinger employs nearly 50 skilled weavers to shuttle this beautiful cotton fabric to life, incorporating and updating traditional Ikat wave patterns in modern colorways. In return, the artisans receive a fair wage, medical care, and help with banking and computer literacy.

Push Pull totes come in three sizes ($180–$250); each features leather straps and bottoms, a sturdy canvas lining and a zipper charm made out of a local chestnut. The bags are so beautiful and well constructed, you’ll be reaching for them even when diapers have become a distant memory.
