Beer-infused cupcakes at Pyramid Alehouse
Baking competition to benefit Seattle NAMI
By Seattle Mag July 26, 2016
We’ve had sweets on the brain this summer with the opening of Choukette eclair shop in Pike Place and the forthcoming plant-based ice cream parlor Frankie & Jo’s from Autumn Martin and Kari Brunson.
So it comes as no surprise that today’s post is about cupcakes. Beer-infused cupcakes, to be exact.
On Saturday, Aug. 13, Pyramid Alehouse (1201 1st Ave S) in SoDo is hosting a beer-infused cupcake competition with three local favorites: Cupcake Royale, Bakerilly, and Brown Sugar Baking Company. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Seattle chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
From noon to 4 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to taste three cupcakes for $10 ($15 with Pyramid Beer pairings) while enjoying the beer garden, live music, games, and giveaways. The bakeries will also have non-beer baked goods for sale, so bring the kiddos. Admission is free. Get your tickets here.
