4th Annual Washington Hop Mob Triple IPA Roadshow
(Through 2/12, times, locations and prices vary) Also known simply as “hop mob,” this IPA-celebrating statewide beer crawl comprises the efforts of 49 breweries via 12 events held over 10 days. The official kick off event happens today at Brouwer’s Cafe, where beertenders will tap 32 Hop Mob beers (triple IPAs made by various breweries specifically for the Hop Mob event series) at once. All of Us Belong Concerts
(2/2, 2/4, times vary) Part of the Symphony’s “Simple Gifts” initiative, these multi-sensory concerts led by music director Ludovic Morlot incorporate the voices of those experiencing homelessness through poetry, visual art and music from Charles Ives’ New England Holidays. Participants from three community nonprofit groups reimagined Ives’ masterwork and developed “artistic responses or reinterpretations of these holidays” with regard to their personal experiences. These spoken word and visual narratives will be presented in the live performance of the score that also features pianist Emanuel Ax performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5. seattlesymphony.org
