MUST BRING KIDS

Kidchella Seattle
(8/25) Treat your children to one last hurrah before school starts at this premiere family-friendly festival produced by Seattle magazine and inspired by the popular Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. With amusements such as photo booths, trampolines and balloon animals, and performances by bands that include The Not-Its, Recess Monkey and Caspar Babypants, everyone is sure to have a blast at this end-of-summer fete. 10 a.m.–2 p.m. $25 adults, free for those younger than 18. Magnuson Park, Sand Point, Hangar 30, 6310 NE 74th St.; 206.284.1750; seattlemag.com

MUST CELEBRATE

Little Saigon Festi-Roll
(8/26) The eighth annual Festi-Roll brings together the Seattle community to celebrate the food and culture of Little Saigon in the International District. Come hungry: our favorites Pho Bac, Lan Hue and goPoké are on the long list of food vendors. If you’re really hungry, don’t miss out on the pho and spring roll eating contest. Plus, there will be live performances throughout the day and activities to keep the kiddos busy. 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Free admission, food available for purchase. International District, 1025 S King St.; Facebook event page

MUST ROCK OUT

Linda’s Fest
(8/25) Celebrate summer (or the smoke leaving) with a free rock show put on by the beloved Capitol Hill watering hole, Linda’s Tavern. Now in its ninth year, the 21+ parking lot party will have you rocking out to local bands Helms Alee, Sandrider, Wild Powwers, Trash Fire and Nox Novacula. Pro tip: Bring earplugs; if it’s anything like previous fests, the volume will be up to 11. 5 p.m. Free. Capitol Hill, 707 E Pine St.; Facebook event page

MUST PEDAL

Gigantic Bicycle Festival
(8/24–8/26) Join fellow cycling enthusiasts in Snoqualmie for a weekend of live music, visual and performance art, and interactive installations, all revolving around the love of bicycles. Go for a 25-, 50- or 100-mile ride, or sign up for cyclocross (think motocross, but without the motors) to get your blood pumping. Once you put your miles in, cool down with the Gigantic Bicycle Film Festival, featuring local independent and short films inspired by, you guessed it, bicycles. Times and prices vary. Centennial Fields Park, Snoqualmie, 39903 SE Park St.; giganticbicyclefestival.org

MUST LOVE PARKS

PARKTRACKS
(8/24–8/25) Virtually transport yourself to a national park right in the middle of downtown Seattle. PARKTRACKS, an immersive pop-up, is pitching a tent in Westlake Park and taking Seattleites out of the city and into national parks with an audio experience. So take a break from work or that shopping spree and unplug for a bit with the sounds of nature. Times vary. Free. Downtown, 401 Pine St.; Facebook event page
