Cider Summit Seattle
(9/7–9/8) With so many beer festivals happening, it’s nice to see cider get some love. This year’s Cider Summit boasts more than 150 ciders, meads and cider cocktails, plus, double the amount of drinking tickets compared to last year (but let’s all drink responsibly). Bring your pup! This festival is dog-friendly and even features a Dog Lounge where you and your pooch can hang out and socialize. This is a 21+ event. Times and prices vary. MUST GAZE
Seattle Design Festival
(9/6–9/21) For two weeks this month, be inspired by the people, events and displays that are part of the annual Seattle Design Festival (SDF). Presented by Design in Public, an initiative of the American Institute of Architects Seattle, SDF celebrates how design can improve life. A highlight is the SDF Block Party in Pioneer Square’s Occidental Park September 8–9, which will feature 40 installations built by designers around the festival’s theme of “trust.” Times and locations vary. MUST CELEBRATE
San Gennaro Festival of Seattle
(9/7–9/9) This three-day, family-friendly Italian street fair brings you the best of Italy: Authentic food, drinks, and entertainment. Plus: There will vendors selling wares directly from Italy. The festival is celebrating the Patron Saint of Naples, St. Gennaro, and the contributions Italian Americans have made to the Northwest. Sodo Flea Market
(9/7) Every second Saturday, a flea market pops up in the Sodo neighborhood full of vintage clothing, ceramics, antiques and any other unique find you can think of. The increasingly popular Sodo Flea Market brings together more than 50 local vendors for your shopping pleasure, helping you find one-of-a-kind pieces for your home or wardrobe. Happy Tails Wine Walk
(9/7) Sip on wine for a good cause with your puppy in tow. The sixth annual Happy Tails Wine Walk lets us taste your way through Woodinville’s best wineries and breweries while supporting the Homeward Pet Adoption Center. Don’t worry, there are fun activities for your dog, too, including an agility course and a “pupcake” eating contest. Don’t forget to stop by the Dog Zone to pick up your furry friend some treats for being a good boy. 12– 4 p.m. Prices vary.
