In Seattle we can think up more than 3.14159… (you get the point) ways to celebrate Pi day (March 14). Because Pi(e)’s not just for math class, it’s for treating yourself. These fun Pi Day events around Seattle will help you take advantage of some sweet and savory deals.

Pi Day Pie Eating Contest

The Downtown Seattle Association will host pie eating contests in honor of the infinite number at both Occidental Square and Westlake Park. The number of competitors will be limited to ten at each location so arrive early and hungry because the stakes are high. Westlake winner will receive a gift card to Serious Pie and Occidental winner will receive a gift card to London Plane.

Conor Byre Pub

This Pi(e) celebration will feature creations from professional and amateur bakers. Pies will be raffled off, with all proceeds going to benefit the Vera Project.

Pie

Whether it’s dessert or dinner, Fremont’s Pie shop will be celebrating with everything from classic apple to chicken pot pie. Pie takes the day very seriously and adorns each pie with the Pi symbol.

Pagliacci Pizza

Head down to any Pagliacci location with a slice bar (excludes 85th, Juanita and Valley) for two slices of pizza for just $3.14. Also, if you order one 11-inch pizza you get the second for $3.14.

Macrina Bakery

Macrina Bakery will offer an assortment of tartlets at all locations. Flavors include blueberry, lemon  meringue and even a glutenfree cherry hand pie.

Pi (day) Contest at The Works

Come celebrate Pi day by entering in a taste and bake competition at The Works Seattle, a community class center in The Central District. If you bring a pie entry fee is $5, if you’ve just come to taste it is $15. Winner of the competition will receive a free class at The Works and gift basket.

Dahlia Bakery

Whether it is Tom Douglas’ World Famous Coconut Cream Pie, Stacy’s Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie, sour cherry or key lime, Seattle’s downtown Dahlia Bakery has got you covered. They are even doing office deliveries, with the hint of a potential surprise deliveries by Tom himself!

Serious Pie

Happy hour just got happier at both downtown and Westlake locations, enjoy happy hour pizzas for just $3.14. Check out the Westlake location from 3pm-6pm or downtown from 3pm-5pm.

A La Mode

And of course, every day is pie day at A La Mode, everyone’s favorite spot for whole or by-the-slice pies. With both West Seattle and Phinney locations, A La Mode is the perfect stop to get creative and classic flavors: Grasshopper, Peanut Butter Mousse and Marionberry Hazelnut are must tries.
