MUST SEE
Pacific Northwest Ballet: Themes & Variations
(5/31–6/9) “Variation” is the operative word here, as PNB offers a quartet of works by George Balanchine, José Limón and company soloist Price Suddarth, set to music by composers from 17th-century England (Henry Purcell) to present-day Seattle (Barret Anspach) and ranging in mood from Balanchine’s dazzlingly frivolous pas de deux Tarantella to Limón’s 24-minute distillation of Othello in The Moor’s Pavane. Times and prices vary. McCaw Hall, Seattle Center, 321 Mercer St.; 206.441.2424; pnb.org

Fests across the globe. Free. Locations vary, see full schedule online; honkfestwest.org

Fill up on lamb meat and chicken souvlaki, or sip Greek coffee while nibbling tiropita (think a buttery pastry stuffed with egg and feta). Take out is available, but don’t skip the music, dancing and Greek marketplace. Times vary. Free admission, food prices vary.
