Home is for joy, says serial entrepreneur Mia Lewin of Bellevue. That’s why she founded Spruce Up last year, a Seattle-based online personalized shopping service for home decor. Her goal? To make it easier to style your home with the help of a diverse team of designers. “I wanted to empower other busy, professional women to create unique, well-designed spaces,” she says.

Having grown up in Finland, Lewin has long been inspired by Scandinavian design, but that’s not the only look you’ll find here. The service begins with a quiz to help determine a client’s style and what items that person is looking for; the client is then paired with a stylist, who assembles a shopping cart of 12 possible home decor items, choosing them from more than 350 brands. There’s a $25 styling fee, which can be applied to any purchase within 30 days. Now that is cause for a little joy.
