The Seattle Festival Orchestra’s fall concert showcases two talented young musicians; composer Pradhyumn Pradeep and his work Phoenicia, which depicts all the experiences and nostalgia associated with a hometown; and twenty year old violinist Marley Erickson from Whidbey Island, grand prize winner of numerous international competitions and veteran of venues such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Benaroya. Erickson will play the Brahms Violin Concerto. Completing the concert program is Alexander Borodin’s Symphony No. 2 with its dramatic opening motif and passionate embrace of slavic folk sources.
