One way to do that is to participate in the American Cancer Society’s annual Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, a 3- to 5-mile non-competitive walk. Sign up online (makingstrides.acsevents.org), set a goal and start raising money, or come to cheer on the walkers. Walk begins at 9 a.m.; registration begins at 8 a.m. CenturyLink Field, Pioneer Square, 800 Occidental Ave. S; 206.674.4109; makingstrides.acsevents.org -Megan Lamb
