Bishops Barbershop
By Seattle Mag June 7, 2013
The men of Seattle have a new place to get gussied up. Bishops Barbershop, a Portland-based mini-chain opened their first Seattle location downtown this week. And, ok, both guys and gals are welcome at Bishops, which offers cuts and color, but their hot towel shaves and beard care makes Bishops especially attractive to the moustachioed and bearded among us. Local artist Baso Fibonacci created huge 20-foot wide bear and owl spray painted murals on two of the salon’s walls to reflect Bishops style of edgy artwork and on-trend style.
The owner of this hip, affordable salon, Leo Rivera, was born and raised in Seattle, and opened the first of his 13 locations in southeast Portland in 2001.
