Have you ever wanted to crawl through super narrow tunnels while covered in mud? Or trampoline onto a cargo net then climb up a wall and shoot down a slippery slide into a muddy pool?

Of course you have. Grab your best gal and guy pals (and an outfit you don’t mind getting dirty) and head up to Whistler, B.C., on Saturday, September 26 for Mudderella, a 5- to 7-mile muddy adventure course filled with obstacles designed by women that are intended to give you and your fellow activity-lovers a full-body workout in the great outdoors. (Note: Men are able to participate but must have been invited by a registered female participant.)

Mudderella, which began in 2012 and encourages women to cross the finish line together rather than compete, will drop its mucky course in Whistler for the first time ever this year. Though the event has been held in cities all around the world, none have been hosted as close to Seattle and the Pacific Northwest region.

The obstacles at each course may vary, but some of the current iterations include Hay Girl Hay (scaling a hay bale mountain), Balancing Act (walking across seriously uneven beams), Wheels in Motion (swinging from tire to tire without falling) and, naturally, Ain’t No Mountain High (traversing up a peak of thick mud).

Consider making a Whistler weekend out of it: Reserve a room at one of these luxe hotels and then set aside ample time for post-Mudderella pampering at one of Whistler’s swanky spas. Celebrate with a flute of bubbly and dinner at a nearby restaurant (Four Seasons’ Fifty Two 80 Lounge and Bar or Hy’s Steakhouse are excellent options).

Feeling lucky? Enter here for your chance to win a trip for four during Mudderella Whistler from September 25 – 27, including transportation, accommodation, event entries, a dining gift certificate and spa passes. Now that’s a sweet deal.
