First it was Irene Wood, she of the amazing beaded necklaces, who upped and move to Brooklyn last year, and now we’re losing handbag designer Crystalyn Kae to the Big Apple. While we wish them both success of course, alas we can’t help but feel a little bereft at the loss to our accessory design community here in Seattle.

In preparation of her cross-country move, Kae is having a huge sale at her home studio on Saturday, March 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (at 5611B Phinney Ave N.) where she will be unloading sewing supplies, zippers, thread, fabric, hardware, a sewing machine, a camera, leather working tools and some of her personal collection of handbags.

Spread the word to all your crafter friends and swing by to say goodbye to this hometown hero.
