!–paging_filter–pJoin the crew at a href=”http://\/\/staging.seattlemag.com.239elwb01.blackmesh.com/momo“Momo/a, the International District/Chinatown’s chicest shop, for a spring trunk show and happy hour on Wednesday, April 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. when they welcome a href=”http://\/\/staging.seattlemag.com.239elwb01.blackmesh.com/kickstart-lu-line-no-1“Lu/a, a clothing line by Jenny Fort and Pearlesque, a collection of diaphanous layering pieces from West Seattle’s a href=”http://chodos-irvine.com/” target=”_blank”Margaret Chodos-Irvine/a./p
pThe two designer couldn’t be more different—the Lu line is constructed from ponti knit and men’s wool suiting material, with fabulously innovative shapes, forgiving silhouettes and interesting pleating and hemlines while Pearlesque is lingerie-inspired, and while intended to be seen, not covered, are form fitting, sheer and lacey. And actually, while the two are opposite, they’re quite complimentary, with Pearlesque acting as the perfect peek of femininity under the rather loose Lu pieces./p
pExpect sips and nibbles and a lovely evening with the very interesting women that this sophisticated and fun shop attracts./p
