Josh Tillman will again return to the city he once called home when Father John Misty headlines the 2018 Capitol Hill Block Party on Sunday, July 22.
The enigmatic Sub Pop artist lived in Seattle for several years in the early 2000s, making music as a solo artist and later as the drummer of Fleet Foxes before casting out on his own under the Father John Misty moniker in 2012. There, he’s released three terrific albums — Fear Fun (2012), I Love You, Honeybear (2015); and most recently Pure Comedy (2017). He’ll headline the festival’s third and final night. Watch his most recent KEXP performance below.
Electronic DJ Dillon Francis will headline opening night on Friday, and hip-hop group BROCKHAMPTON will headline Saturday for the 22nd annual music and arts festival. Several Seattle acts, including The Dip, Sol, and Dude York will also be performing. The official announcement was made live on KEXP.
Tickets are on sale now. Prices start at $65 for single-day tickets and go up to $300 for VIP passes. Click here for more information.
