Since November 30, ten local designers have been competing in The Look, a reality fashion TV show co-produced by King 5’s Evening Magazine, IADT’s Monir Zhanghoreishi and Rose Dennis, designer Luly Yang’s publicist.

Each week through February 7 the designers, including Lisa Vian Hunter, Tina Witherspoon, Julie DanforthJustin Zachary Bartle (all former Seamless in Seattle contestants) and Maxwell Cunanan are presented with a challenge, and given only 14 hours to complete it. Each episode will have one winner and two losers, until only three designers remain at the finale, which was pre-taped at The Bravern on February 7 (with food by John Howie, truffled deviled eggs, yum).

Evening Magazine begins airing episodes of The Look on Monday, February 18 at 7 p.m. on King TV channel 5, ending with the finale airing on Friday, February 25.

Who will win?  Who will lose? We know, but we’ll never tell. You’ll just have to tune in to find out.

Tinsel, eggnog, mistletoe, and luggage

Travel lovers are the easiest people to buy for. Wrap a gift in old maps and they’ll spend hours deciphering the roadways and important coordinates. Put something inside the wrapping that will satiate their wanderlust, or encourage it, and you might be their next invitee to Paris.
