Acclaimed fine-dining establishment Canlis is among only a dozen restaurants across the country on a new, exclusive list aimed at high-end travelers who enjoy upscale dining experiences.

The Seattle restaurant, led by executive chef Aisha Ibrahim, is part of Taste Club, a first-of-its-kind dining and global luxury travel club. Memberships provide access to dining experiences curated by celebrated chefs and restaurants. Annual memberships cost a one-time initiation fee of $7,500, with monthly dues of $300. Enrollment is limited, and prospective members must submit to a selection process.

The idea is the brainchild of Joshua Kopel, president of the Los Angeles chapter of the California Restaurant Association. He says he created Taste Club to “take the stress and guesswork” out of planning.

“We’re investing in the future of our industry by building a one-of-a-kind service that will create a more sustainable model for the hospitality industry,” Kopel says.

The club also provides members access to luxury travel experts who can help plan a culinary vacation. Canlis is one of only three restaurants on the list not based in New York or California.
