Shelf Life scrolls through the history of Seattle’s Central District (CD) with episodes that cover community stories—from the idealism of busing for desegregation to the CD’s roots with the Black Panthers—in a way you might hear them on the front porch of your neighbor’s house. The stories, told by locals, are produced by three University of Washington alumni: filmmaker Jill Freidberg, Rainy Dawg Radio storyteller Mayowa Aina and data analyst Domonique Meeks, all with the help of funding by King County 4Culture.
