If you’re always misplacing your reading glasses, perhaps it’s a subconscious habit, because, let’s face it, those neck chains aren’t the most attractive accessories. That’s why Mercer Island resident Michele Smith decided to design a more stylish alternative. Off the Cuff Optics’ WristReaders ($49.99, a portion of the price benefits Guide Dogs for the Blind; wrist-readers.com) are soft, flexible reading glasses that can be worn as a bracelet. The readers are held in place by embedded magnets and are available in three different sizes to fit your wrist, purse strap or car’s gear shift. The eye-catching (pun intended) readers feature polycarbonate lenses in three strengths (+1.50, +2, +2.50) and are available in graphite, orange, key lime green, hot pink and aquamarine. You could call them a visionary idea.
