Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival
(9/29–9/30) Ahoy, matey! This Center for Wooden Boats festival celebrates Seattle’s history and culture of traditional wooden boats. Learn about classic sailboats and motorboats, hop aboard a vessel and tour Lake Union and enjoy live music, games, exhibits, food trucks and a beer garden. 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Free. Hawktoberfest
(9/29) You’ve probably seen a car or two around town sporting a 12th Man flag. The entrants in this Seahawks-themed car show take that idea and run with it. View a few dozen vehicles decorated by Seahawks fans, and see which ones win in categories that include “Best Themed” and “Most Creative.” Food and craft vendors are part of this family-friendly event. 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Free ($20 to register your Hawk-themed vehicle). Tasveer South Asian Film Fest
(9/28–10/7) Produced by Tasveer, a local non-profit arts organization that aims to inspire social change through film, this 13th annual fest offers over 65 films as well as forums and filmmaker discussions. Stories relating to all of South Asia will be screened at venues across the city, and films focusing on issues of human rights and social justice will be highlighted. Foraged Dinner with Langdon Cook at La Medusa
