American Express and the Seattle Seahawks are celebrating their new partnership with Blue Friday, a program that provides benefits and exclusive events for card members and fans.

As a part of the program, Amex is collaborating with Uber to deliver Seattle Seahawks-themed surprises and specials, including $12 off of one UberX ride today, October 16, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. The deal is available to all users in the Seattle market with use of the promo code, “AmexBlueFriday.”

Additionally, between 1 and 3 p.m., Seahawks fans have the opportunity to receive a visit from the American Express Fan Van. By simply tweeting at @AmericanExpress and @Uber_SEA with #AmexBlueFriday and #Promo, fans have a chance to win complimentary Seahawks gear and a visit from Seahawks legend, Shaun Alexander, at their place of business. If that’s not enough, almost 50 UberX drivers in the area will be outfitted in Seahawks gear and will be giving Seahawks-themed gifts to nearly 1,200 riders. Gifts include jerseys, hats, and key chains, among others. Participating UberX vehicles will appear as blue cars within the Uber app. The Blue Friday program is part of the partnership between American Express and the Seattle Seahawks, working with merchants to provide an even greater fan experience to “12s” throughout the season. Blue Friday giveaways will continue throughout the season, so make sure to stay tuned to the program’s events and offerings!
