UPDATED: Uniqlo has announced that the opening date for its Bellevue Square location has changed from its original Friday, October 16 date to Friday, November 6, due to construction. The nearly 16,000-square-foot store will be the Japanese apparel retailer’s first Pacific Northwest location and will house the brand’s full assortment of men’s, women’s and children’s collections. “Opening in [the Seattle region] gives UNIQLO a greater opportunity to expand the reach of the brand to quality-conscious customers, as well as better serve the growing needs of our customers on the west coast,” Larry Meyer, ceo, Uniqlo USA said in a press release. “We see the entrance into the Pacific Northwest region, as a necessary and exciting growth driver as we continue our expansion across the US.”

If you happen to be riding the Seattle Monorail on Friday, August 28, from 10 a.m. to noon, you might see a 7-foot-tall bear enjoying a ride, too. Brunin, the fantasy character for the new mobile game BattleKasters–which was created by Seattle-based gaming company Artifact Technologies–is in town for gaming event PAX Prime and will be greeting and interacting with fellow Monorail riders. Joining warrior bear Brunin on the Monorail will be author Alane Adams, who will read from the first book in her series Legends of Orkney.

Congrats, Seatte! We’re ranked the seventh worst in the country for traffic!

More lists: Tukwila has been named the second most dangerous city in America, according to a report from SafeWise citing research of FBI crime report statistics. After analyzing FBI crime report statistics “for all cities with a population of more than 10,000,” KOMO News reports, SafeWise “then tallied the number of violent crimes, which they defined as murder, robbery, aggravated assault, and forcible rape, and property crimes, such as burglary, arson, motor vehicle theft, and larceny-theft.” Tukwila topped the list in property crimes, but ranked much lower when it came to violent crimes. The most dangerous city in America, according to this report, you ask? That’s Myrtle Beach, S.C.

This post was updated on Thursday, September 24 to reflect the change in Uniqlo’s opening date.
