As if 2016 wasn’t already poised to be the year of a dining in South Lake Union, we just got word that a new Marination location has opened at the corner of Sixth Ave and Virginia (2000 Sixth Ave.)

At the 700-square-foot restaurant, you can expect all the classic Korean-fusion you’ve come to love – sexy tofu tacos, kimchi quesadillas and Spam sliders – but co-owner Roz Edison and manager Max Sidione are also offering new menu items, like Korean cheesesteak (hello, kalbi beef with grilled onions, jalapenos, melted cheese and mayo on a Macrina demi-baguette) and tator tots a la Aloha Fries – tots covered in Kalua pork, kimchi sauce, Japanese mayo and scallions, all topped with a fried egg.

Expect more in the coming weeks, including grab and go salads and sandwiches (you lucky Amazonians) and noodle dishes. The location will feature four rotating taps with Bale Breaker, Good Life, Silver City and Stoup Brewing to start. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with happy hour starting early, at 2 p.m. (to 5 p.m.), Mondays through Friday.

Updated: We incorrectly identified the new Marination location in SLU when in fact it is downtown. Also, we originally referred to the incorrect term for “cheesesteak.” We regret the errors.
