While you were enjoying the warmth before the clouds rolled in, did you hear about the Washington native on the upcoming season of Top Chef? And hey, maybe it’s time for a little wine country getaway. As for the week ahead, here are five ideas.

IGNITE SEATTLE #45

Thursday, March 21

7 p.m., Town Hall Seattle, $15

If you’ve never hit up Ignite Seattle, now’s your chance. It’s a night where speakers race the clock, delivering quirky, entertaining five-minute talks on anything from how to build a chicken coop to feeling immortal. It’s a fun night out.

HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON

March 23-30

McCaw Hall, $27+

Remember the children’s book, Harold and the Purple Crayon? Picture it transforming into an hour of ballet with PNB School students dancing their way through a world of Harold’s doodles.

SEATTLE’S FRENCH FEST

Sunday, March 24

11 a.m.-5 p.m., Seattle Center, Free

Seattle’s French Fest goes beyond baguettes and berets (though you’ll find plenty), highlighting French flavors from across the globe, including Louisiana’s own unique spin.

Sunday, March 24

11 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., The Moore Theatre, $46

Zakir Khan, the standout star of Indian stand-up, takes the mic with stories and jokes that’ll have you rolling. From winning India’s top comedy competition to selling out worldwide, he knows how to work a crowd. This show is in Hindi.

Tuesday, March 26

7 p.m., Neumos, $20

Torres caught our eye back in 2015 on the KEXP live stage, mesmerizing listeners with powerful vocals, introspective lyrics, and haunting riffs. Since then, Torres has kept us hooked with five more albums.
