As we celebrate Women Making History Month, let’s support local female entrepreneurs and plan some adventurous getaways. In Seattle, for International Women’s Day on March 8, Rendezvous is hosting a mini festival with live music and burlesque. There’s also a live sessions concert at The Royal Room highlighting the works of more than a dozen local women composers and other underrepresented gender identities. The music will be performed by Kate Olson Sextet. Clock-Out Lounge is celebrating in concert with artists like Carrie Akre and Star Anna, and the legendary Karla Bonoff is performing at Triple Door. Also, you can see cellist Gretchen Yanover at Benaroya Hall.

And this week, don’t miss out on the poetic music of Arlo Parks, the Emerald City Irish Film Festival, the compelling narratives at Short Stories Live, Cat Power’s tribute to Bob Dylan, and a play that’s sure to move you.
