We hope you had a fantastic Juneteenth yesterday.

With summer just around the corner and since we live in the best place to enjoy it, we’ve got some great outdoor activities to recommend this week.

But first, here’s what’s happening around town: If you’ve got late-night cravings, we found the perfect spot (spoiler alert: it’s dumplings). Guess what food has become a key player in Seattle? Plus, it’s spot prawn season, so don’t miss it. And have you heard? Seattle’s leading the way in eco-friendly hospitality. Also, if you’re looking to visit a charming German village this summer, you don’t have to go far.

 

Levity Arts: Seattle Summer Series

Saturday, June 21

7 p.m.-10 p.m., Gas Works Park, Free  

Spend your summer evening at Gasworks Park with live music, circus acts, acroyoga, dance, and visual art. It’s a community gathering that encourages creativity and participation. Plus, each event supports local nonprofits, so come ready to have fun and give back. If you miss this one, there are more to come.

Ronny Chieng from The Daily Show and Crazy Rich Asians is coming to Seattle. With his sharp, observational humor and classy style, he’s set to bring his unique twist on modern culture that will have you laughing all night.

 

Fremont Fair

June 22-23 

Saturday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Sunday: 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Fremont, Free

The 51st Annual Fremont Fair marks the start of summer in Seattle. Spanning six city blocks, this festival attracts more than 100,000 visitors and features more than 300 craft vendors. There’s live music on two stages, delicious local eats, beer gardens, and the famous Fremont Solstice Parade. It’s a weekend of fun artistic expression in Seattle’s “Center of the Universe.”

June 22-23

1 p.m.-5 p.m., Seattle Center, $49+

The Washington Brewers Festival is a summer staple, celebrating the best of local craft beer. Hosted by the Washington Brewers Guild, the event features more than 80 breweries, food, and live music. It’s a relaxed and fun way to enjoy Washington’s finest brews with friends.

The Paramount Theatre, $20+

Set in 1934 Duluth, Minn., Girl From the North Country weaves together the lives of people in a run-down guesthouse. The show reimagines 20 Bob Dylan songs. It’s a journey through human hardship and resilience, all set to Dylan’s timeless tracks.
