NuBe Green (Capitol Hill, 1527 10th Ave.; 206.402.4515), purveyor of cool, mostly U.S.A.-made goods, has launched its first nation-wide scavenger hunt.

The Great NuBe Scavenger Hunt actually involves very little scavenging per se. Instead teams (you can form yours from friends and family located anywhere in the country) are challenged to perform a series of preset tasks to earn points. The three teams tallying the most points can pick from prizes ranging from NuBe Green gift certificates and local resort getaways to a cameo spot in actor Tom Skeritt’s upcoming web series. The tasks themselves, many of which have a green/recycled focus, range from low-point values—such as composing a jingle—to big-point getters—dumpster diving or delivering an item via a drone. To prove a task’s completion, you simply post a picture or video with the task’s designated hashtag on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

There are 39 tasks in all, but you have the entire month of August in which to tackle them.

For more info on the hunt, including the complete prize and task lists, visit: http://nubegreen.com/pages/nubehunt

Good luck!

Whole-house renovation respects the aesthetics of its Capitol Hill neighborhood

Miriam Larson founded Story Architecture in the belief that, if she dug deep enough, each house and the family that lives in it would have a story to tell. In time, she would also conclude that some books are perfectly happy to be judged by their covers.
