The Strangest Thing Our Food Editor Saw This Weekend

Port Angeles is home to one wacky kitchen-sink Bloody Mary

By Seattle Mag April 25, 2016

A bloody mary is sitting on a table.

I’m not big on gimmicks. But, I love a great food photo. And this one’s beyond Instagram-worthy. For starters, I didn’t actually consume the Shipwreck Bloody Mary ($19) at H20 Waterfront Bistro in Port Angeles (no website but here’s the Yelp page, 222 N. Lincoln Ave; 360.452.4261). My next-table neighbor did. But, as I dug into my own trough (of seafood only, I’m afraid, how boring), looking at it — being in its epic presence — was almost enough.

A slider, chicken wings, shrimp cocktail, salami-wrapped cheeses, veggie sticks, citrus rinds and a random strawberry on top completed what has got to be the most outrageous version of the meal-in-a-mary trend I’ve ever seen. But my question is, where’s the duck egg?
